So a while ago, my 18w HID bit the preverbal dust as they say. I don’t know what happened, but the bulb blew.
Some looking around and not finding anything reasonable in the way of a new bulb (many $$$), I decided a cheaper route was an upgrade to a 21w HID!
Koos in Seattle had a 21w head that he was not needing, so I spent an evening converting it over.
As you can see, the 21w (bottom) is larger than the 18w (top).
Many parts go into the canister connection.
I did have a few quick questions for some people for some best practices.
And finally, testing!
It took a little while to do, I did have to squeeze on the connector a few times as I either orientated or forgot a part in the process.
